Registered partnership in FinlandRecognition of same-sex unions in Finland – The article includes so little millimeters on both forms of unions so I think this should be titled like the German and Australian ones that deal with both forms of government recognition of same-sex unions. -- Puisque (talk) 02:46, 20 March 2013 (UTC) Puisque (talk) 02:46, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment does the "registered partnership" also concern heterosexual couples? (ie, can a hetero pair register under this definition? ) If that is the case, then rename followed by a split back to this location for a stubby article on the actual legal form. If this is not the case, then just rename the article. -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 03:52, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Registered partnership is only for gay couples. Still, I don't understand your instructions? I have no clue about the WP jargon. -- Puisque (talk) 04:13, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Then this is a simple support move, for better coverage (covers not just the registered partnership, but the debates leading to it, an the status of same-sex marriage in Finland) -- 65.92.180.137 (talk) 06:12, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Initiative March 2014 - public discussion[edit]

There is ongoing legal initiative by citizens in March 2014.[1] 58% of Finns supported and ca35 % not support Marriage equality [2] Finland is the only Skandinavian country were equal mariage is not approved yet.

  • From the ongoing discussion:
    • the purpose of a marriage is to make babies. (True Finns party member)
    • with this definition both the marriages of president Tarja Halonen and Sauli Niinistö would be illegal. Neither have intention to make babies in their present marriage. (counter argument)
