Religions[edit]

I'm not sure how it would be best to do this? Should we divide up the "Themes" into the various religions? If so, then:

  • Christianity
    "Miracle Man"
    "Revelations"
    "Redux"
    "All Souls"
    "Hollywood A.D."
    "Roadrunners"
  • Judaism
    "Kaddish"
  • Satanism/Occult/Cults (I just lumped the fringe beliefs, don't get offended)
    "Irresistible" (Maybe...)
    "Die Hand Die Verletzt"
"Orison" (Again, maybe... Also could be connected to Christianity)
    "Via Negativa"
    "Dæmonicus"
  • Other
    "Biogenesis"
    "The Sixth Extinction"
    "Amor Fati"
    "Improbable"
Some of those would only real bear mentioning for the dismissal of religion seen in them ("Hollywood AD" hasn't much actual religious focus but it's clear how dismissive Mulder is towards the idea). I'd focus mostly on the way episodes are lumped together by critical sources (one of them seems to link "Beyond the Sea", "Elegy", "All Souls" and "One Breath" for instance). Maybe divide them by Scully's beliefs, Mulder's beliefs, and "Other" beliefs? GRAPPLE X 02:36, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That Philosophy book had some interesting things on "Orison" in regards to God/Devil and free will. It also mentions that Mulder hints at his Christian belief in "The Truth". Glimmer721 talk 02:27, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
He seems to confirm that he's Jewish in "Drive", and I think there's an interview used in another article where Duchovny has said he assumes Mulder's Jewish until he's told otherwise. GRAPPLE X 12:17, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Found it, it's in the first Lowry book so it's from the time of the first two seasons. GRAPPLE X 12:21, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Useful?[edit]

Hmm, that really explains that story arc, but now that I think about it, that really went nowhere. We were never told if it worked or if the Smoking Man was somehow immune to aliens or whatever... I guess since he was dying the answer was a big no.--Gen. Quon (talk) 01:04, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
