Mercury – Acts 1 & 2[edit]

Mercury – Act 2 was never released as a standalone album, so we should not have an article about an album that does not exist. This article should be adjusted to only be about Mercury – Acts 1 & 2. 131.202.255.236 (talk) 23:08, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Does this album exist as a studio album?[edit]

It feels like this album is more a "reissue" rather than an album or "compilation" because on Spotify and Apple Music it was categorized as an studio album, not compilation. -GogoLion (talk) 04:40, 11 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Mercury – Act 2 would not appear to exist on its own to purchase, but that being said, please stop trying to rewrite/retrofit the past and copy-paste content from Mercury – Act 1 that you did not write and combine it into here. Mercury – Act 1 was still released on its own separately in 2021, and has media that explicitly mentions it on its own (not as part of a set), as well as its own reviews, weekly chart positions and year-end chart positions, so it should still have its own article. Rebranding this article is fine to a degree, but the article should not be combined with Act 1 now or in the future for the fact that Act 2 was only issued with Act 1 in a double set and now Imagine Dragons/whomever manages their streaming services has removed Act 1 as it's part of Acts 1 & 2. Consensus would need to be achieved to do that, as that is far too bold to do on one's own. Ss112 03:15, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's high time someone created an article for this song, using this and this for a start. Kailash29792 (talk) 10:35, 20 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Kailash29792: The article now exists in mainspace. Ss112 13:06, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Better late than never. Kailash29792 (talk) 13:12, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with Act 1[edit]

Since Loom is their sixth album, I think maybe it would make sense to merge this page with the page for Mercury Act 1. BadthonyMentano (talk) 19:51, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The two are separate albums, released 10 months apart. Merging the two articles would conflate their separate releases (as your edit did) and imply that the reception or commercial performance of Mercury – Act 1 had anything to do with the release of this album when it didn't. See also Talk:Mercury – Act 1. The wording that Act 1 is the "first half of the fifth studio album" and this is "the second half" makes better sense to me than merging the two.
