Category:People from Prussia proper

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The historical region of Prussia (from where the former German state of Prussia derived its name) in Central Europe extends from the south-eastern coast of the Baltic Sea to the Masurian Lake District. It is mainly located between the rivers Vistula and Neman. The region of Pomerelia, to the west of the Vistula river, was at different times either (partly) included into Prussia proper or regarded as belonging to the region of Pomerania. Prussia proper is now divided between Poland, Russia, and Lithuania.
