Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests
If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

- Fender amplifier → Fender amplifiers (currently a redirect back to Fender amplifier) (move · discuss) – Per the talk page, the article is about an entire product line, not just one amp. Mbinebri (talk) 12:51, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
- WP:NCPLURAL would suggest otherwise. Even if it is a whole class of amps, it can still be referred to in the singular, e.g. in his other hand is a Fender amplifier he's borrowed from somebody. So the default is singular, and the 2017 move seems correct. — Amakuru (talk) 18:24, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
- Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area → Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park (currently a redirect back to Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area) (move · discuss) – The state park was renamed per the official Tennessee State Parks website from "Area" to "Park". - @ACase0000: There's a lot of duplicated content between Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area and Sycamore Shoals. I wonder if merging the two might be a better outcome here. --Ahecht (TALK

- Trisha (actress) → Trisha Krishnan (currently a redirect back to Trisha (actress)) (move · discuss) – Trisha Krishnan's name follows the Indian patronymic naming convention, where 'Krishnan' is her father's given name. It's not a mononyme. Anoop Bhatia (talk) 19:57, 20 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Anoopspeaks: This would revert a move from 2013 that asserted that Trisha is her WP:COMMONNAME. This move is potentially controversial, so it would require a requested-move discussion, which you can begin by clicking "discuss" on your request. You can remove this request after opening a discussion (or if you do not want to continue). SilverLocust 💬 02:50, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Twitter verification → X verification (currently a redirect back to Twitter verification) (move · discuss) – edit summary for the move Therealbey (talk) 09:23, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Contesting: as long as the main article is still at Twitter, I think there's a strong consistency argument (i.e., WP:CONSUB) against this move. Extraordinary Writ (talk) 09:37, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Therealbey Since this request was contested, you would need to click on the "discuss" link in your request above and open a move request if you with to continue. --Ahecht (TALK
