Hi Rafaela! I think it's cool that you take snapchats of your little brother. I think babies are so cute. Hope to talk to you about Wikipedia articles too!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Culturalist studies of media requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Some comments on Social Media Therapy[edit]

Hi Rlira123, I've taken a look at your draft here and I have some comments:

  • Sentences like "Clearly time spent online via email, websites, instant messaging and social media has increased." or "Naturally this alters the way people communicate with each other" don't tend to add much to the reader's understanding of the subject. If it is important to show that time spent on social media apps and sites has increased then you'll want to show that and move on.
  • "The U.S population is roughly 353..." Remember, Wikipedia is a global resource. We'll still have articles on subjects related to particular countries, but we don't want to write an article by immediately pinning it to something of interest in the US.
  • Similarly, sentences like "The internet is beginning to influence psychotherapy. There are now multiple therapeutic services offered through the internet. " don't help readers who come to an article like this 10 years from now. When is now? When was the internet beginning to influence psychotherapy? Ditto "Now that mental health professionals are moving in to the world of social media, ethical frameworks have been issued." and some others.
  • Try thinking about this article from the standpoint of a critical reader. If you wanted to learn about social media therapy and you landed on the wikipedia article, what would you hope to see? I would hope to see a concise summary of the subject, focusing on the salient facts and important ideas.

I hope this helps a bit. Please let me know if you need a hand improving the draft. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:31, 19 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
