From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

AlexChurchill is a software tester and quality engineer from Cambridge, England. Having been making minor contributions to Wikipedia anonymously for a while, he eventually decided to register.

The CamelCase of his user name does indeed indicate an origin in other Wikis: his most frequently haunted Wiki is ToothyWiki, where discussion frequently focuses on anime [1], board games [2], computer science [3], and surreal humour [4][5][6], but ranges across many other topics including theology [7], cryptology [8], and philosophy. The site's administrator User:MoonShadow has programmed a variety of extensions [9] to the original UseModWiki source code. Notable is a BNF generator which draws its source from Wiki pages (see an example, or another which will only make sense to those familiar with Magic: The Gathering). Also notably is a game description language which allows JavaScript games to be defined on Wiki pages and compiled and played, all from the user's web browser.

By way of Wikipedia philosophy, he is generally an Exopedianist. The fact that he states this demonstrates that it is not completely true. This fact is, indeed, the primary reason for him stating this, because he's a fan of irony and self-reference :)

The Wikipedia policy on Spoilers disappoints him greatly. The absence of spoiler warnings on Wikipedia pages means that no longer is Wikipedia "a great resource in general"; now it's merely "a great resource for most things except fictional works".
