Definition of maturity not found in source[edit]

I have read O-ISM3(ISBN 1-931624-86-0, document number c102, published in 2011), and not only is the definition given of maturity very different than what is cited in the article, the words "continuous improvement" only occur once in the entire document, and not in the definition of maturity. The "definition" of maturity given in O-ISM3 (definition in quotes, because as a definition it is sorely lacking - in part because it uses the word maturity itself in defining itself) is, in full: Selected ISM3 processes collected together and operated at a sufficient capability determine an organization’s information security management maturity or simply maturity. The maturity and the capability levels can be used as a basis for development of a certification scheme, which would be of special value to certification authorities (auditors).

Didn't want to remove it, because that would essentially leave the article as a whole in a vegetative state, but this article NEEDS a valid definition of "maturity", and IMHO the "definition" in O-ISM3 is not a valid definition. Since I don't have a valid definition of "maturity" at the moment, I'm gonna mark it as Dubious. Nietvoordekat (talk) 08:47, 28 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed new definition[edit]

Loon ^[1] defines a maturity model as a sequence of maturity levels for certain objects, usually people, organisations of processes. In these models is represented the evolutionary path, anticipated, desired or typical, through discrete levels.

(never altered a wikipegia page so im just leaving this here)
