Improvements to the Page[edit]

I do want to improve this page because IGC played a very pivotal role in the early history of the Internet. Its two main networks, PeaceNet and EcoNet, provided an inexpensive way for MANY individuals to connect online, and then to connect to the wider Internet as that evolved. IGC was one of the seven orgs that came together to found the Association for Progressive Communications in 1990. As the IGC's site indicates, it ceased operations in 2017.

There may be some good reliable sources to be found from links on the APC history page. A page about the founding of APC gives some of the history, but needs non-primary sources for citation. I intend to work on improving this IGC page in 2023. - Dyork (talk) 14:54, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
