Structure versus outbuilding[edit]

Can somebody provide clarity on the difference between a structure and an outbuilding? Is an "outbuilding" simply a marginal building? I realize a shed or a greenhouse, etc., is not as substantial as a home, but aren't they all "structures"? I have never quite understood this. Juneau Mike (talk) 01:26, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Michaelh2001, yes, an outbuilding can be a shed, barn, garage, greenhouse, etc, yes. Structures can also include, not only homes, but also major infrastructure - bridges, towers. And also offices/warehouses. Missvain (talk) 18:49, 29 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
