In The Papyrus of Ani (The Egyptian Book of the Dead), 240 BC, translated by E.A. Wallis Budge, I found this passage: "Thou art the Prince of divine food in Anu". I'm wondering if Anu is also the name of an Egyptian god, independent of those listed.

Budge is quite old, so try to look at something more recent, like Faulkner's version. :-) The "Anu" that you refer to is transliterated 'Iwnw', and is the ancient name for ancient Heliopolis. Hope that helps. ;-)211.30.58.23 (talk) 14:38, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
