Dr. Suborno Bose[edit]

Dr. Suborno Bose is a certified Chartered Accountant[1] with over 25 years of business experience in various locations throughout the world. As the Indismart[2] Group's founder and chief mentor, his objective is to create magical moments for everyone (from visitors and guests to employees) whenever possible.

In 1989, the Institute of Advanced Management took the initial steps toward mentoring students to prepare them for the future. This was followed by the International Institute of Hotel Management[3] (IIHM) in 1994.

Dr. Suborno Bose is a Hospitality Evangelist and possibly the country's most well-known hospitality instructor. IIHM and IAM Hotel Schools have established a presence not only in Kolkata[4], but also in Delhi, Goa, Bangkok, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Pune.

Career[edit]

The Indismart Group, led by Dr. Suborno Bose, has embarked on an ambitious project in collaboration with the National Skill Development Corporation, which was established by the Government of India with the goal of providing vocational training to unskilled and semi-skilled personnel, with a vision of training 180,000 students across India over the next decade.

Dr. Suborno Bose is now a member of the Education, Tourism, and Hospitality Managing Committees and Sub-committees of numerous Chambers of Commerce and Industry in India, including the CII,[5] BCCI[6], FHRAI[7], and ICC[8], as well as other government bodies in telecom and railways.

Dr. Suborno Bose was prominent in establishing the International Hospitality Day, which is perceived every year on April 24th and is a remarkable initiative of the IHC (International Hospitality Council) with three key goals: to celebrate, promote, and educate hospitality. [9]

Dr. Suborno Bose has also received Asia Pacific's most prestigious accolade, the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship accolade, from Enterprise Asia for his remarkable leadership as Chairman of IIHM Hotel School.[10]

In 2017 On International Hospitality Day, Dr. Suborno Bose bestowed the 'Hall of Fame' Award to Mr. Ratan N. Tata, Chairman of the Tata Group, in conceding of his substantial contributions to the hospitality sector.[11]
