Sardar Jwala/Jawala Singh Sandhu/Padhania was the chief in command during the rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji,As well as a commander in the Sikh army .[1][2][3][4] His father was Sardar Mita Singh of Padhania . He was married to the eldest sister of Maharani Jind Kaur .[5][6][7][2] Sardar Jawala Singh Sandhu Ji was present at the Khyber standoff of 1834-35 .[8][9] He lived in the village of Padhana and was paralysed in 1829, dying six years later around 1835 .[4][10][11] [12] His fifth generation descendants are now muslim . [13]
