Zanughan (Persian: زنوغان)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Kavir Rural District of Deyhuk District, Tabas County, South Khorasan province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 371 in 121 households, when it was in Yazd province.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 560 people in 178 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 487 people in 167 households,[2] by which time the county had been separated from the province and become a part of South Khorasan province.[7]
