Confusion on Radhika Menon[edit]

I had huge confusions before creating for popular maritime naval officer Radhika Menon and I thought to add to this contest page. I found another article Radhika Menon which was about a publisher and didn't specify anything about navy related info. So I created with the header Radhika Menon (naval officer) because I knew previously there wasn't any article existed about this Navy officer. But based on the popularity I suggest to move Radhika Menon to Radhika Menon (publisher) and Radhika Menon (naval officer) to Radhika Menon. Abishe (talk) 08:56, 1 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Palestine?[edit]

Why is there no list of Palestinian women? TMagen (talk) 09:44, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

TMagen: I first of all would like to welcome your decision to take part in this contest. Your request is acceptable but you have to be mindful that the Women in Red lists are created for the countries. I think Palestine is territorial region in Middle East and not stated as a country. But you have the freedom to include the flag of Palestine in the project page when you submit your article. Thanks. For further clarifications you can also raise this question in the talk page of Women in Red. Abishe (talk) 11:09, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate the explanation, but please note that means that Palestinian women are being excluded, and as a policy. I would like to write about Palestinian women, and cannot find them in WIR lists, and am thus frustrated. I will raise it on the talk page you suggested, thanks. TMagen (talk) 11:24, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@TMagen: Take a look at this created by a Women in Red member Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Missing articles by nationality/Palestine. Technically I was not able to assist you in the correct way. I am extremely sorry for the speculations. Go ahead you can create the articles as mentioned in this new list. Abishe (talk) 11:58, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much! TMagen (talk) 14:53, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
TMagen: Thanks for your constructive observation. If you are interested in writing biographies of women from Israel or Palestine, it might be useful for you to become a member of WikiProject Women in Red.--Ipigott (talk) 14:52, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Kathy Feng-Yi Su[edit]

Hi folks, I started a page for scientist Draft:Kathy Feng-Yi Su but I think it needs someone with more scientific knowledge to explain why she's so important. Unfortunately I don't know enough about biology to do a good job! Would really appreciate some held/edits! Lajmmoore: Sorry mate. None of us did notice your message here and I apologise for it. I just reviewed your article and do not get frustrated with the notability issue tags. It us a nice work from you and I am not technically perfect with biology related topics. Happy editing! Abishe (talk) 09:45, 2 December 2019 (UTC) @Abishe: Thanks very much! I was just a bit confused! Learning to edit has been one of the highlights of my year! But I am still learning all the ins and outs![reply]
