there is a place for solar mean time on List of tz database time zones table
There is a site called (http://www.timeanddate.com/) where you can get solar mean time for the tz database table. I thought it will be a great addition to the table so people can see or calculate time difference before standard time existed.
Example of how the table looks like after the figures are inserted.

- Well, one problem I see (and it's a detail, I know) is that then the note about Alaska (most areas) becomes problematic. Most of Alaska is one time zone (the Aleutians are another). That zone is based on the solar mean time at a line of longitude way in the eastern part (the panhandle bordering Canada). Every degree west you go, the solar mean time is 4 minutes less. A degree of longitude is about 39 miles at the equator--roughly half that in Alaska. Uporządnicki (talk) 13:48, 21 July 2022 (UTC)

Recent timezone changes
Please can someone review the recent timezone changes by 177.71.45.141 and roll back if appropriate? I can't find any sources for the ending of DST etc. in these places. Certes (talk) 13:24, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
