Which numbers get articles[edit]

Can we please make sure that we follow the guidelines from Wikipedia:WikiProject Numbers wrt what numbers that get to get seperate articles. -- Egil 07:19, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Just nominate for deletion articles which you are think are not notable. If you remove things from this list, my bot will add them back, unless they get deleted or removed from math categories. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 07:42, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
What happens with redirects? IMHO it is good to have the redirects (3xx → too 300 for instance) but they should not be listed here. -- Egil 08:45, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
My bot does not list redirects. My bot lists an article in the list of mathematical topics iff it is in a mathematics category. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 09:21, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
To be clear, my bot does not add redirects, but it does not remove existing ones either. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 17:15, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Now the bot removes any redirects, there is no need to keep them in. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 03:45, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's a discussion on what the reference requirements for lists like this one. The Transhumanist (talk) 01:11, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Index creation[edit]

I'm putting together a new WikiProject and I saw that some projects have a consolidated Index of articles (a useful thing) but I could not find a tool or a template to do that very basic job. I have a doubt here: please do not tell me that Wikipedia would be crazy enough to create and maintain those indexes by hand because I won't believe you... --Alainr345 (talk) 21:47, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
