Damallsvenskan and French Div 1. footballer / soccer player articles nominated for deletion

An editor is nominating numerous articles about women footballers / soccer players who have played in top leagues in France and Sweden. The leagues most likely were included on WP:NFOOTY unbalanced list of notable leagues at the time of creation - and have since been removed but that's probably irrelevant here. Basically, many of the articles need improved referencing to meet WP:GNG.

Please see centralized discussion: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Women in Red#Proposed deletion of women's footballer / soccer player articles. If you're able to update the articles to ensure WP:GNG met, even better.

open tasks templates

On Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Women's football task force/Open tasks section 2.9 Templates; it says the women's teams should be included in Template:UEFA under-23 teams and Template:UEFA under-21 teams. However, the headers of those templates themselves (the text with purple background) only speak of men's teams i.e.: National men's under-23 football teams of Europe (UEFA) and National men's under-21 football teams of Europe (UEFA). Wouldn't it be better to just change the name of those template pages to a more accurate 1.
Also, I checked the Dutch FA's website and Dutch wikipedia, and a women's U-21 team does not exist. Since the Netherlands is 1 of the bigger nations in European (women's) football I would be very surprised if other countries had such a team. There are a few women's U-23 teams in Europe. A comparatively recent development. They only play friendlies and no UEFA (or FIFA) recognised matches Dutchy45 (talk) 11:26, 6 April 2020 (UTC)

Dutchy45 The note says "integrate women's teams". So yes, integrate or create a new template for women's teams. Your call. Hmlarson (talk) 19:36, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
