Now that 2010 has already started and there are no more new contestants, I make the following observations.

China is represented by the Republic of China on Taiwan. The People's Republic of China either was unsuccessful and boycotted Wikicup and did not try to ban Taiwan.

There is no contestant with the German flag from the 1933-1945 era. Neither is the al-Qaeda flag used, though this is not a country or land occupying legal entity. The competitor with the Macedonian flag has withdrawn without being pushed out by Greece. This is good.
