Some questions

1. Are teams OK ? In fi-wiki we often edit same articles together, would be fair to have one team ? I remember seeing some teams in GLAM Derby. - Answer coming ... No we will do the same as Monmouth
2. 7 points for template - does the WikiProject GibraltarpediA for Talk pages count, and what about the invitation (is it a template when it is used only once at the village pump) ? Yes, although obviously feel free to use it elsewhere
3. What about extending an existing stub to, say, Good article ? How many points for that, if any ? If you move between level then we would give you the point difference. So DYK to FA = 20 - 7 = 13, OK --Tappinen (talk) 20:35, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

On the Challenge main page, there is text "Two ore more wikipedians can form a team and participate jointly: this means you don't have to be multilingual!" - is this valid and what it refers to (or just relic from Derby) ? --Tappinen (talk) 06:06, 10 September 2012 (UTC)

New and Improved Articles

Wow, the Challenge has really taken off! Just a reminder to all to please update this page with the new articles being created in any wiki as I'm now struggling to keep it updated by myself as there are so many coming in all the time (which is great of course!). I just leasrned an easy way to do this: we have participation template on talk page of each of the GibraltarpediA articles. By selecting this template and "What links here" I get a list. --Tappinen (talk) 04:28, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

if you look at the template on the english wikipedia then you will see a link that shows whats going on. This shows recent changes - and it you are lucky also shows where a robot does an inter wiki link Victuallers (talk) 09:26, 28 October 2012 (UTC)

Prizes

Offer a proper monetary prize/Amazon vouchers as an award and I'd go for it. A crappy t shirt and plaque in all honesty is not good enough, sorry to be blunt, but if there is financing behind this project the least that could be done is offer a decent prize to the people coming up with the goods.♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:43, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

I agree, top prize is a trip to Gib from anywhere in Europe. We are getting comments of that is "too much", but it seems an appropriate prize. I guess if we get a winner in Gib than we'll need to think of flying them somewhere - or a winner in the USA is a possibility. The Wiki Loves Monuments does a similar prize of flying the winner to Wikimania. THe other thing we are thinking about is organising wiki camps here which we think we could help with. Farewell to Gibraltarpedia

To the participants of the Project Gibraltarpedia:

I inform you that today I'm withdrawing from the challenge, maybe temporarily, but probably permanently. I'm preparing for exams at the university and for the next 15 days I'll be in wikipause. Naturally, I could return in mid-November, but it's unlikely to happen. However, even if I no longer participate in the contest, doesn't mean that I will not write more about Gibraltar. Even after concluded the Wright Challenge in 2011, the first GLAM in which I participated, organized by Roger Bamkin (Victuallers), I yet written two articles attached thereto.

I would like to thank Roger Bamkin's invitation for me to participate in this challenge. Then, I already anticipated that a more effective participation would be difficult, because of my commitments to the university. However, I still managed to write 64 articles, 15 originals in English and 47 translations in four languages ​​(one article in Occitan and two templates). None of this would be possible, of course, without the leadership and inventiveness of Roger. It's thanks to him that this project is such a great success - despite, or perhaps precisely because, the envy aroused.

I would also like to thank Gibmetal77 by his encouragement, and to all who corrected my mistakes in English in the original articles. I still have a goal to write articles about all members of the current Parliament of Gibraltar. If nobody does so, I will resume the task at the end of the next month - but no longer as a member of this project, and thus without the use of its banner.
