  • How did you become involved with the Wikimedia community? What contributions are you most proud of?

I knew Wikipedia from Indonesian CHIP magazine which have included DVD Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia on its anniversary edition, then I realized that Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia is a prosperous media to share precious knowledge from around the world in bahasa Indonesia. The DVD of Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia has a lot of ugly writings and bad appearance on its pages. So, I registered my name on Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia. Happy editing is coming, and I love editing everything which is not as beautiful as Microsoft Encarta, and I always edited every page which is still not perfectly appeared on Wikipedia. Therefore, I’m trying to perfect the pages as best as I can do.

  • What do you see as the role of the Board of Trustees?

I hope I will make Wikipedia as the precious media for my lifetime, especially for my career for my lifespan.

  • If elected, what would you bring to the board that it currently lacks?

I will promote Wikipedia to every people who I recognize and who I want to know, and teach them how to used it properly.

  • What specific goals would you have as a trustee?

I would like to promote to everyone that Wikipedia is the most powerful media in Internet for making better knowledge for their life.

  • The Wikimedia Foundation is beginning an organized effort at strategic planning, in which the board will play a major role. What are the key elements you would like to see prioritized in Wikimedia's strategy for the coming years?

Generally, Internet is still a new thing in my island (Sumatra). In other hand, Wikipedia is much more stranger thing. The people who just understand how to use Internet, they just love wasting their times for Friendster, Facebook, Yahoo!Messenger or the others useless thing which contained by bullshit chit and chat (chatting).

  • What do you think the Wikimedia Foundation isn't doing that it should be? What is it doing that it shouldn't be?

There is no Wikimedia Foundation in Sumatra! Eventhough Sumatra is a part of Indonesia, Sumatra is like a island with improper government which has no care about education. The people will be fooled for their lifetime. If Wikimedia Sumatra is available, better education will be revealed in Sumatra.

  • The English Wikipedia community is increasingly concerned with questions of project governance: who has authority to set and reshape policy, and who should?; how can a project so large, with so diverse a community, make collective decisions?; does consensus scale, or will some form of democracy be necessary to address the project's problems?; and many others. What role, if any, do you think the Board of Trustees can or should play in addressing governance and policy problems on individual projects?

Wikimedia Foundation is a global foundation. Please make it globally known by the world. Build the foundation on every island on the Earth.

  • Wikimedia's partnerships with outside organizations--including for-profit companies like Kaltura and Orange as well as non-profits and public institutions like Mozilla Foundation and various archives and museums--have becoming increasingly prominent. What sorts of partnerships should and shouldn't the Foundation pursue?
  • Over the last three years, the scope of the Wikimedia Foundation has expanded rapidly, with a budget growing from $3.0 million in fiscal year 2007-2008 to a planned $9.4 million in 2009-2010. What strategy should the Board of Trustees pursue in planning for future financial growth? What is your view of the current financial plan?
  • What role would you like the board to play in fostering the initiation, growth and viability of local Wikimedia Chapters? What role do chapters play in your strategic vision for Wikimedia?
  • How does the Wikimedia Advisory Board fit into your strategic vision for Wikimedia? Are there any specific tasks you would ask of them as a trustee? Are there critical areas of expertise that are not represented on the Advisory Board and you think should be?

Answers:

Knowledge is power, but money is the most powerful power of life before the power of love. Why don’t we make Wikipedia as a rival of Microsoft Encarta to gain the power. Wikipedia has gained pain. Now is the time to take profit from it. Please create Wikipedia Indonesia Encarta. Right now, Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia is the best digital encyclopedia in Indonesia. Before it will be created, please make Wikipedia Indonesia become non-free online encyclopedia anymore, and much more limited access for unqualified user (especially anonymous user). Permanently block every IP address who the owner is the master of vandalism. Wikipedia bahasa Indonesia will be box-office digital encyclopedia on DVD (offline Wikipedia). Believe it! Wikipedia Foundation will be the greatest rival of Microsoft Corporation.

When my answer number eight is realized, I hope I will be the trustee who promote the product to every people who love knowledge. Then, global foundation will be on the Earth. Free-trading for globalization era is here!

I hope Wikipedia will avoid all kind of foundation which have similarity product like Wikipedia (imitation Wikipedia like the others online encyclopedia), and foundations which will make Wikimedia is a slave by the foundations (Wikipedia has pain, the foundations has gain). It is taboo!

The last questions has been answered by my statements above.
