CMN2160 deals with old and new theories of the media including theories about the relations between media, power elites, and mass culture. Study of the main American and European schools of thought. From the technological (McLuhan prophecies) to the symbolic and socio-political dimensions (feminist and cultural studies).

Milestones

Everyone should have finished all of the work they'll do on Wikipedia, and be ready for grading.  You must email the TA to say it is ready for grading.  It will then be reviewed and,  if ready, passed on to Wikipedia for approval. 

Week 12

Assignment - Add text to Wikipedia AFTER approval from staff

You must follow the above steps and submit your completed entry for review. The TA will then submit your entry for review by WikiEdu staff.  Once WikiEdu staff have approved your entry we will contact you. You must then upload your text to the relevant Wikipeida page from your Sandbox and tell us you have done so. You must complete all of these steps to get full marks for the Wikipedia portion of your entry.
