This course is an introduction to the serious study of history, and especially the history of science, emphasizing the unique resources of the University of Oklahoma. Course units are: (1) Galileo, science and religion (2) Darwin, science and race and (3) Climate change, science and politics. Students write one conventional essay to learn basic skills during unit (1). During units (2) and (3) they work in a group to edit or construct a Wikipedia page on a topic connected to the course, and based on suggestions from the Instructor.
