This course provides the foundation of pathophysiological principles across the lifespan that guide clinical practice for the advanced practice nurse. Students will recognize pathophysiological changes that result in alterations in function. Systemic alterations resulting from a variety of disease states are explored. Specific emphasis is placed on etiology, pathogenesis, environmental influences, and clinical manifestations of common alterations across the lifespan. Students will edit chosen articles on Wikipedia that are applicable to pathophysiology and of interest to the student.
