In this course, students will research and write a researched argument on the following:

-Demonstrate that a specific subset of college student that is less likely to succeed than the average college student and discuss reasons why this group is less successful than the average

-Identify both the reasons why that group is less successful and how their lack of success impacts both them and society-at-large

-Compare implemented and/or proposed policies aimed at increasing that groups success

-Argue for a concrete solution to be implemented at a local level
