List of Sega 32X games[edit]

I've got this list listed at WP:PR, but I'm also listing it here for more comments. I would like to get this list up to featured list status, but I'm pretty sure I've got some issues that need to be hammered out, first. For example, I know from experience I'm poor at writing lead sections, especially for lists, so I could use some cleanup help there. Also, I'm not sure if all of my sources are reliable. I have three sources for the lists (and one from the same site for a different set, read the list for more info), but I can't be sure that any of them are reliable, and as far as I know, Sega doesn't have lists of their games on their site. If this gets past WP:FLC and becomes a featured list, then I plan to start working on more of the old Mega Drive/Genesis lists and getting them to featured list, as well. Thanks in advance for all of your comments and help. Red Phoenix flame of life...protector of all... 18:20, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is TOC really necessary for a list short as that? --Mika1h (talk) 19:30, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
TOC? I'm sorry, I'm not really familiar with that term. Can you explain what you mean, please? Red Phoenix flame of life...protector of all... 19:54, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, sorry, I know what you mean. No, it's really not necessary. It was there before, but I condensed the multiple lists into one since there are only 35 games for the system. I'll go ahead and remove it. Red Phoenix flame of life...protector of all... 19:56, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'd say the second table on games with the combined CD thing can be merged into the first, and use some kind of marker (like †) to indicate their special status. This clears up the layout of the page.
  • Prose of the lead: do not start sentences with "however". Use more linking words to make the prose of both paragraphs flow better. Eliminate redundancies like "originally".
  • The picture could be larger. I see some kind of black square that could be a Darth Vader helmet, a frying pan, or a console.
  • Instead of pointing to "Lists of video games", what about pointing to some direct parent lists, like other Sega lists?
  • The second Guardiana link 404's.
  •  Done lol I typed in "23X" instead of "32X" in the line. Fixed now.
  • Play around a little with the flag column as to make 5 flags not need 2 lines. This would enhance layout. Perhaps a few pixels extra width, or smaller spaces between flags?
  • Huh, it doesn't look like that on my screen. Okay, I'll expand it, though.

Comments from User:Guyinblack25[edit]

After a quick glance, I have a few comments.

  • The number 34 should not be in bold in the lead.
  • I don't know if the "See also" section is really needed with the wikilinks in the lead.
  • What makes sega-16.com, new.guardiana.net, and gooddealgames.com reliable sources? Sega-16 looks to have some kind of basic editorial process in place, but the others don't look to have something like that. I would try to find out if they have such practices or if other reliable sources (like a newspaper, IGN, Gamasutra, etc.) have cited them in case it comes up at FLC. If they don't, I'd look for some other sources.

Not an in-depth review, but I hope it helps some. (Guyinblack25 talk 05:30, 29 May 2008 (UTC))[reply]
