Texas SVGs

There is a portion of the Texas State Highway SVGs that haven't been created yet, roughly 1/3 of them. Roughly another 1/3 of them need to be reloaded due to being loaded before the SVG fix, so they don't resize properly. I would have loaded a couple of them, but it seemed that only SPUI had access to them. I have made a list of the glitchy SVGs, and the unmade SVGs can be noted on the Texas completion list. 25or6to4 21:02, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

Ok, I recently went through a good portion of the first 100, and some random shields above that, and found that most won't resize properly, especially the first 60 or so. Anyone have a quick way that I can display them all at different px's? 25or6to4 22:41, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
The quickest way to fix them would be to go to the Commons and to purge all of the glitchy shields. That should fix the resizing problem (as the resizing problem is a hold-over of the SVG bug a while back that prevented resizing of SVGs). I wish there was a faster method, but, unfortunately, this is the only way to go. --TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 23:00, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Do you have the link to that bug fix, or know the date that ws fixed? I'm looking through SPUI's gallery, and he dated all his uplods, so we'd only have to re-upload the shields before that date. 25or6to4 23:30, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, there shouldn't be a need to reupload the shields - we should only have to Purge them. To do so, head over to the Commons and go to an image page (like Image:NY-153.svg). Click on the history tab, then, in the URL in the address bar, change action=history to action=purge. That should fix the image. Repeat the process for every glitched shield. Aha! I knew there had to be an easier way! I have gone through and purged a good deal of images, with much success. Just created this one..., not sure on the spacing of the numbers though...couldn't find the specs for distance between numbers so I just eyeballed it. Once I find the right specs, I will mod it to be accurate. As far as the problem you are having, I think you just have to purge your cache to get them to show correctly, not sure though. --Holderca1 22:52, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Texas SH 255 Toll Shield

Texas FM road shields

I checked, and it wasn't working for me either. I purged it again, and now it is. Try it now. Make sure you do a "hard refresh" (on IE and Firefox, Ctrl+F5 instead of just F5) when you reload the article. -- NORTH talk 22:43, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't know how to show a bannered US-52 Spur shield on the page U.S. Route 52 Spur (Charleston, South Carolina). I can't get the infobox to come up with a shield at all. Shields that keep vanishing

The Following shields have to be replaced, since purging them failed: US 92, US 98, FL 26, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 616, and 618. Others may have this problem as well. DanTD 15:37, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

For starters, I'd like to request the first New Mexico shields: NM 80, NM 1, NM 9, NM 11, NM 28, NM 48, NM 333, NM 404, and NM 549. Arizona and New Mexico

Nope, they don't work for me either. Did you use Inkscape to make the shields? When I used Inkscape for them, I found that there is a Flowed Text in the shield that shouldn't be there. Delete the Flowed Text and everything should be okay. --Ltljltlj 04:31, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

More New Mexico shields requested

Okay, once again I'm requesting some shields for the exit list of an Interstate highway in New Mexico, but this time it's for Interstate 40 in New Mexico, rather than I-10. Since we're supposed to limit the number to 10, I'm only going to request the following, and save the rest for later:

One question regarding that exit list, it has several references to a US 66 overlap. US 66 no longer exists, so how can it overlap with I-40? --Holderca1 14:35, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
US 66 still exists as a historic route, but that's about it. Also if I'd known you might try to do them all, I would've added links for the rest of them as well. One thing I noticed about this list is that it looks very disorderly. It seems like some of them are for roads that connect I-40 and old US 66, rather than being part of Old US 66 itself. ----DanTD 14:49, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
Usually if they are all the same shield type, once you get going, they go pretty fast. It's when there are a bunch of different types that it slows it down. The 10 shield limit is to prevent someone from saying, I want all the Farm to Market Road shields in Texas done (there are over 3,000). Iowa signs that need to be fixed

Iowa 143 reads as Iowa 144 and the 900 series (example:) all have a black square in the upper left corner so as to not make the white portion of the shield a circle. (See List of Iowa state highways for whole list.) DandyDan2007 10:29, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

I-510 (AZ) shield

  • AR still use state shields but the future I-555 shield will lack state name. Very soon ARkansas will start to neutralize the shields.
