The railroad of the Milltown Air Line Railway, hereinafter called the carrier, which is not a corporation but a designation assigned to a railroad owned and operated by J. A. J. Henderson, consists of 9.269 miles of single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, located in the State of Georgia, extending from Milltown to Naylor. The carrier also owns and uses 1.349 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 10.618 miles of all tracks.

CORPORATE HISTORY

As hereinbefore stated the carrier is not a corporation but a designation assigned to a railroad owned and operated by an individual. In response to a petition of the citizens of Milltown, Ga., who wished to avail themselves of railroad facilities, the property became subject to the regulations of the Railway Commission of the State of Georgia and the Interstate Commerce Commission in 1903, and since then has been classed as a common carrier.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The carrier was constructed in 1901 by G. V. Gress, as a logging tram road for operations in connection with his manufacturing plants at Milltown. The road extends from Milltown to Naylor, Ga., a distance of 9.269 miles.
