The railroad of the Colebrookdale Railroad Company, herein called the Colebrookdale Railroad, is a single-track line extending from Pottstown to Barto, Pa., a distance of 12.833 miles.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The Colebrookdale Railroad was incorporated March 23, 1865, by special act of Pennsylvania. It was organized on the same date.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The mileage owned by the Colebrookdale, amounting to 12.833 miles, was acquired by construction which was begun in 1868. The original line between Pottstown and Boyerstown, Pa., was completed and opened for operation September 6, 1869, and an extension to Barto, Pa., was completed and opened for operation November 16, 1869.
