The Charleston Union Station Company, hereinafter called the carrier, owns and operates a union passenger terminal in the city of Charleston, S. C., consisting of a passenger station and other facilities. The carrier owns and uses 0.299 mile of main track and 2.166 miles of yard tracks and sidings. Its road thus embraces 2.465 miles of all tracks.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated February 20, 1902, under a special act of the Legislature of the Legislature of the State of South Carolina, for the purpose of acquiring and operating terminal facilities in Charleston, S. C. The date of organization of the carrier was November 22, 1902.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned property of the carrier was acquired by it through construction, which was begun in March, 1905. It was opened for operation November 10, 1907.
