The railroad of Bonlee & Western Railway Company hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, located entirely within the State of North Carolina, and extending from Bonlee to Bennett, a distance of 10.366 miles. The carrier also owns yard and side tracks aggregating 0.972 of a mile, making a total of 11.328 miles of all tracks owned.


Corporate history and development of fixed physical property.—The carrier was incorporated October 12, 1908, under the general laws of North Carolina. Its organization was completed on the same date. Its principal office is located at Bonlee. The carrier constructed its railroad with its own forces, one section of the road, about 6 miles, having been placed in operation on March 10, 1910, and the remainder a little over 4 miles, on June 1, 1910.
