The railroad of Athens Belt Line Railroad Company, herein called the Athens Belt Line, is a switching road at Athens, Ga., embracing 0.332 mile of side track.


CORPORATE HISTORY

Incorporation of the Athens Belt Line was effected under the general laws of the State of Georgia on November 10, 1890.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The road owned by the Athens Belt Line on date of valuation was constructed and put in operation during the month of November, 1890. The available records do not state the exact date the construction work was commenced and completed, nor by whom the road was constructed. The Athens Belt Line reported that it acquired its railroad by deed of conveyance from J. H. Rucker, dated December 1, 1890.
