Location and general description of property.—The railroad of Alabama Central Railroad Company, hereinafter called the carrier, is a single-track standard-gauge steam railroad, situated entirely within the State of Alabama, extending from a connection with the road of the Northern Alabama Railway Company at Jasper to Manchester, a distance of 6.665 miles.


CORPORATE HISTORY

The carrier was incorporated May 19, 1906, under the general laws of the State of Alabama for the purpose of building and operating a line of railroad from Tuscaloosa to Decatur, Ala. The date of its organization was May 19, 1906.

DEVELOPMENT OF FIXED PHYSICAL PROPERTY

The owned mileage of the carrier, amounting to 6.665 miles, was all constructed by its own forces. Construction commenced in 1906, and the road was placed in operation about August 1, 1907.
