Wikipedia:WikiProject Missing encyclopedic articles/1922 verification

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 1922 Encyclopædia Britannica is a three-volume supplement to the 1911 Encyclopædia Britannica Eleventh Edition, which summarized the state of the world before, during, and after World War I. Some articles are naturally substantial, given all the changes that had taken place in those 11 years. Some are simple updates to (not replacements for) articles in the 1911 edition: for example, a subject's date of death may be the only new information. The volumes are numbered to follow the 1911 edition: 30, 31, and 32.

Several editors have already used 1922 information to supplement articles.

It would be possible to kick off a new verification project based on the 1911 project. Several editors have already used 1922 information to supplement articles and cited 1922 properly: see for example Gustave Ador.

In addition, anyone who verifies a 1911 article should consult the 1922 supplement, to see if there is additional information not otherwise provided or to act as an additional authority for citations.
