Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) review

Suggestion: Promote to A-Class
Nominator's comments: Unlike other recent nominations, I don't intend for this to head to FAC for a while. It's an interesting drive to take, and I think it's worthy of polishing up to the A-Class level. As for FAC, I have bigger fish for now.

I have some concerns with the article before I can support it for A-class:

  1. Is it possible for major points of interest and termini to be listed in the infobox?
  2. Are there any traffic counts from more recently than 2008?
  3. "The road was originally known as the Sleeping Bear Dunes Park when he first opened it to the public in 1967.", is there a title that goes after "Sleeping Bear Dunes Park" such as road?
  4. why is "4.11 m" in brackets and not parentheses? Dough4872 21:01, 25 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Will do.
  2. Not from any press sources. The NPS doesn't log traffic counts on this road like MDOT does with its state highways.
  3. Nope, that is the full, complete and total name, "Sleeping Bear Dunes Park".
  4. The conversion is an addition to the quote, and like any added content in a quotation, it's in brackets. Imzadi 1979  02:13, 26 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  1. Multiple occurrences of punctuation marks outside quotation marks in the lead, RD, and History need to be fixed.
    • See WP:LQ, but we don't use the "American" method of sliding all punctuation into the quotation unless it was present in the quotation.
  2. RD: Correct me if I'm wrong, but "some 9.0 miles" would look better as "some 9 miles."
  3. History: "and the road became part of park itself" → "and the road became part of the park itself."
    • Added.
