Wikipedia:WikiProject Dogs/Top-importance articles

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page has been created so that we can collaboratively try to determine which articles are of the greatest important to this project, so that we can then use that information to help us determine which articles we should focus on in the short term.

One question which still holds here is whether the scope of the project should remain as it is. If any of the members of the project want to expand the scope of the project, please indicate such below and we can discuss whether or not to include additional articles.

As I've said before, given that wolves and foxes and possibly other members of the family Canidae can interbreed with dogs, I think that we might want to include them within the scope of the project as well.

In any event, I would propose at least the following articles be included in the Top-importance category. Any and all other nominations, as well as disputes of the articles named below, are welcome.

  • Support - Because of the large percentage of the canine community which qualify as such. Badbilltucker 14:52, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - disgusting idea, but still important and is a good link to the various breeds involved. Badbilltucker 14:52, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. This is classified in a third-tier category. Classification: DogsDog sportsBaitingDog fighting. Not that important. List of dog sports is the more appropriate article that is parallel to the breed groups listed here. Rfrisbietalk 17:58, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support maybe the most famous dog ever, even if fictional, and probably one of the most frequently visited articles we have on that basis. Badbilltucker 14:52, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
