This WikiProject aims to create and improve articles relating to Hong Kong literature, such as Hong Kongese writers, works and publications, as well as Cantonese, such as articles about Cantonese phonology, written Cantonese and Cantopop lyrical studies. Why do you want to start a new group, instead of joining one of these existing groups?: Both WikiProject Hong Kong and WikiProject Literature are way too broad and they won't encourage Wikipedians to write about Hong Kong literature. Some important writers and works don't even have a page, such as Shu Hong-shing [zh], Lawrence Poon [zh] and The Drunkard (Liu Yichang) [zh], and many Hong Kong literature-related pages are currently stubs. Therefore, I propose to start a new WikiProject which solely focuses on Hong Kong literature, similar to Wikipedia:WikiProject Australian literature (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) and Wikipedia:WikiProject Persian literature (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs).

Also, specify whether or not you would join the project.
