Description[edit]

Cairo is home to hundreds of historic sites, buildings, and monuments from its long history. These historical sites number over 600 different historical buildings, sites, and monuments that were founded over a millennia. Documentation of these places is important as they have been disappearing as the city expands and is reconstructed to suit new projects. Theft from these historical sites is also common.

Goals[edit]

  • Create pages for each of the registered historical sites on List of Historic Monuments in Cairo
  • Create pages for unregistered historical sites
  • Get a proper designation for registered historical sites in Cairo to be included in infoboxes
  • Create pages for many of the founders with historical significance

Also, specify whether or not you would join the project.

I would join the project if it's created, and so I support it. The things to cover in this topic are numerous and a little complex, so some coordination between editors would be helpful. But that said, I'm not sure the topic is large enough to recruit many other editors. R Prazeres (talk) 01:21, 7 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
