I can't find my page[edit]

Wanwisa Janmuk[edit]

On List of youngest birth mothers there is only the Thai name of Wanwisa Janmuk (วันวิสาข์), but I can’t find her surname, Janmuk. Can someone help me? --62.18.13.228 (talk) 13:02, 12 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Radio fails in heat[edit]

When my car sits in the sun and gets hot, the radio is just static. I run the AC to cool down the car and the static slowly fades to music. How can a hot interior make the radio lose reception. It works, but is just static. It doesn't pick up any stations. I can use Bluetooth just fine. So it is clearly just the reception.

If it is an antenna that screws on, unscrew it, clean the threads, and screw it back on tightly. Every auto-supply store that I know of sells a paste for push-in lights to improve the contacts. That stuff works well on antennas also, making sure you have a good contact. If the antenna is not screw-on, you likely have a lot of lines on your back window. There will be a lot across the main window with smaller ones at the top. Inside the window, you will see very small boxes glued to the inside of the glass. One will be right where the main lines are. One will be where the tiny lines at the top are. The tiny lines are your antenna. The little box may be loose when it is hot. If so, cooling it down will fix the problem. To test it, get the car hot so the radio fails. On the outside of the glass where the little box is, rub an ice pack to cool the glass down. If the radio suddenly starts working, the connection to the antenna right there has failed. That is repaired by completely replacing the entire connection because it could be that something inside the little box failed. If checking the antenna doesn't work, it could be that the antenna is not plugged into the radio well. You have to pull it out of the dash to check it. It should fit snug into the back of the radio. I've seen antennas get loose and wiggle around. The plug is soft metal. You can bend it to make it snug. If that connection is not the problem, the radio may be failing. That is the most expensive problem to check and fix. You have to replace the radio just to see if the radio is the problem. Luckily, you know your speakers work because they are playing static. If you have a separate amplifier, that could be the problem, but I doubt it. A bad connection in the amp will make some of the speakers fail, but not all of them. If the amp is losing all power, you will get soft music playing or absolutely no sound at all. You won't get static. 209.149.113.5 (talk) 12:11, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

There was a concern on our talk page about placing an ice cube or cold pack on a hot window. If you were to do this with a cheap cup, it will likely crack. Safety glass should not crack. It is used in many areas where the glass can go from cold to hot to cold to hot... For example, it is used in shower doors. The door can be cold and then suddenly hit with steaming hot water. Similarly, it is used for table tops. A table can sit in the hot sun for hours and then have an ice-cold drink set on it without cracking. So, windshield glass should not crack. That doesn't mean that it will not crack. What if you have a really cheap and defective window in your car? Then, it is probably a good idea to crack it and get it replaced.
