Guidance on if my website can be included[edit]

Hi, i'm asking if adding my website www.ableize.com would be okay, i was shortlisted in 2011 as disabled entrepreneur of the year see https://www.leonardcheshire.org/what-we-do/stelios-award-disabled-entrepreneurs/past-winners/2011-sh...

Does this qualify my site to be added, thought it best to ask now rather that after spending a few days writing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scipilot (talkcontribs) 13:54, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not really. See WP:42 and WP:COI for more information. Basically there needs to be multiple professionally published mainstream academic or journalistic sources that are specifically about your website but not affiliated with it. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:00, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
And if you were talking about adding it to an existing article, see WP:ELNO, points 4, 10, 11, 13, and 14. Ian.thomson (talk) 14:04, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Scipilot I think you might have some success, based on some quick Googling: like this. My suggestion is to read the instructions very carefully at WP:AFC and create something there. Show multiple cases of in-depth discussion of ableize (the site, not you personally) in reliable sources. Take some time reading the links I've provided, and the others above. Wikipedia is a difficult place for newcomers to navigate, but not impossible - we were all newbies once. Even better advice is for you to spend a little time around the site working on stuff that's nothing to do with your COI and get used to how we operate, before trying at AFC. Good luck. --Dweller (talk) Become old fashioned! 07:13, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
