what is geometry— Preceding unsigned comment added by 2c0f:f4c0:2200:1f4:58dc:315a:cc5e:4fdf (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia has an article titled geometry that will give you an overview. --Jayron32 14:03, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If this is about which part of geometry is treated in lower secondary education (middle school/junior high), there is no uniform content. Different countries, and different schools in one country, may have a different selection of topics and different ways of approaching them. The traditional approach is mostly confined to plane geometry, with attention to lines, angles, circles and triangles, and constructions that can be performed with straightedge and compass, with an emphasis on definitions and concepts such as congruence and similarity, and probably some exercises in constructing proofs based on axioms and theorems. Later years may add some trigonometry and analytical geometry. But some less traditional approaches focus on other skills such as plotting and transforming figures in the Cartesian plane.  --Lambiam 15:36, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
