Drug tests in sports competitions?[edit]

Is it true that in major sporting competitions, majority of athletes do not have to go through anti-doping drug tests? If true, which sports have more or less drug tests in their respective official competitions and are there any major plan to increase the rate of testing internationally? You may wish to read the Anti-Doping Code adopted by the World Anti-Doping Agency which explains how the process works. Athletes are tested randomly between competitions, and in the competitions themselves the top finishers and a number of others drawn at random are tested. It's almost impossible to completely avoid testing. See here: [1]. Not all sports come under WADA's jurisdiction, but others have their own protocols (e.g. Major League Baseball and testing for steroids). Note that these are negotiated among all interested parties, including athletes themselves. Xuxl (talk) 12:58, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
