August 9[edit]

Colin and Charles Farrell, actors[edit]

Were the Colin Farrell (not that Colin Farrell) and the Charles Farrell who were both in the film Oh! What a Lovely War related? Thank you, DuncanHill (talk) 16:03, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Their IMDB biography pages [1] [2] don't mention them being related. Charles was born in Dublin but had moved to London by the time Colin was born in London, so it is conceivable that they were related and the short bios just don't mention it. --174.89.49.204 (talk) 05:43, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Phantom question[edit]

I saw a strip of the comic The Phantom in a Finnish newspaper. The entire strip was one single panel. I have a photograph of it but can't upload it here as it would violate copyright.

Anyway, here's a description. A woman is saying to a man: "You think you can play with Lamanda Luaga? Nomad, you don't know what you are doing!" There are, inexplicably to me, pictures of skulls on the edges of the panel.

What story is this panel from? JIP | Talk 16:43, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You should upload the image to a file hosting site such as imgur and post the link here. --Viennese Waltz 09:14, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Here you go: https://imgur.com/zp3yH9W . The strip is in Finnish, I have provided an English translation in this post. Ignore the top and bottom comics, they're gag-a-day strips from Zits and Viivi & Wagner. It's the middle one I'm asking about. JIP | Talk 09:51, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
For what it's worth, the panel appears in this forum, and it seems the Portuguese title of the story is "ACERTO DE CONTAS COM O NÔMADE" and the English title should be A Reckoning with the Nomad, from 2018. --Wrongfilter (talk) 11:36, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the answers. It would be nice to know what the skulls mean. JIP | Talk 11:52, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps a reference to Skull Cave, or to the skull of the murderer of Christopher Walker's father? DuncanHill (talk) 16:07, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
