November 14[edit]

I have been watching the old Dallas show and thought I recognized an actress on the show. I looked her up and found out that she is Kathleen York. I looked her up on wiki and saw that you have her current age as 44 (1975). If she played a grown waitress on Dallas in 1984, there is no way her date of birth is correct. She wasn’t 9 years old on Dallas but more like 19 maybe? Thanks for reading this and needing an answer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.20.37.101 (talk) 16:56, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

:It mustn't be the same person you are thinking of. Kathleen York played a small child with the name "little Betty", who was indeed an elementary-school-aged character at the time, for 10 episodes. See here. The waitress must have been played by a different actress. --Jayron32 17:08, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There are 17 actresses listed as some form of waitress on Dallas, at IMDB [1]. Only 2 are listed as having appeared more than once (twice for each). However, if her character name was given, she might well be listed under her name, as opposed to occupation. It you have a specific episode in mind, we could reduce that list dramatically. The Kathleen York we show on Wikipedia is indeed shown on IMDB as playing "Little Betty" on Dallas in 1984-1985. The IMDB entry says she was in her "late teens" at that point, which suggest a birth year of around 1965. So whatever the source for the article's birth year of 1975 is, it seems to be off by about 10 years. In fact, it was posted by an IP last month, and is unsourced.[2] So I am going to remove it. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 01:10, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You're right. I just looked at the 1986 Simon & Simon episode she's in. She plays a character obviously in her early 20s. The age in the Wikipedia article is incorrect. --Jayron32 15:20, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
