March 6[edit]

playable character[edit]

what is the video game that have the largest number of playable character not considering the customizable characters? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.55.93.33 (talk) 16:30, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Superlatives like this (the largest number...) are fiendishly hard to find or prove given the many thousands of video games made every year for the last several decades. The Europa Universalis series allows players to chose from several hundred playable nations. That's the most options in terms of starting positions I can think of. --Jayron32 02:10, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No Man's Sky is described as a game in which you can explore 18 quintillion planets. The Quixotic Potato (talk) 02:52, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Tobal 2 features over 200 playable characters. The Quixotic Potato (talk) 02:59, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Tobal_2 holds the record for fighting game playable characters, according to our article. If Pokemon count as "playable", then there are ~550 or so in Pokémon_X_and_Y, but it gets murky because of the various ways you can import and trade Pokemon. I am not a Pokemon expert, please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that you are unable to play as the Pokemon. I believe you are a human, their "trainer", and you shout instructions at them during the turnbased combat. Maybe one of our local Pokemon experts knows if this is (still) true. Games in The Sims series have ~50–100 playable premade characters. Possession-based games like Messiah and Stacking may have a very large number of effectively playable characters. -- BenRG (talk) 21:59, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
If possession-based games count then I think that there are several games that, in theory, have infinite playable characters (but they all look the same, or at least many of them do). I am quite certain that there are games that allow you to create playable (or at least controllable) characters ad infinitum. Even if we exclude playable (or at least controllable) characters when they are user-created then there are still games like Driver: San Francisco in which you can basically "possess" a city full of people by "shifting" into their cars. ChuckleVision - No Slacking & Get out of it[edit]

In the children's television series ChuckleVision, which episodes did The Patton Brothers, Jimmy and Brain, whose characters are No Slacking and Get out of it appear together? 81.148.219.96 (talk) 17:49, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This link on imdb lists all the times the two of them are credited together. It includes 20 episodes of Chucklevision (nos. 3 - 22). Rojomoke (talk) 18:07, 6 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
