December 24[edit]

art similarities[edit]

I was looking at some pictures of the TWA Flight 800 International Memorial. There was this bas relief carving. It consisted of an ocean wave releasing 230 seagulls into the sky. By any chance, was that type of artwork inspired by The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai?142.255.95.167 (talk) 04:33, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at images of the memorial, the similarity seems too much to be coincidental, and if you google TWA Flight 800 International Memorial hokusai you get many hits that assume the connection. Rojomoke (talk) 06:29, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Could someone post an image of what I'm asking about to the article about the aforementioned artwork, please? Thank you.2604:2000:7106:AE00:89BF:C085:2983:261B (talk) 15:38, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Write about myself[edit]

Hey why can't write about myself — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.24.80.193 (talk) 14:33, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've given your question a title. You can't write about yourself because that would be a conflict of interest. It's also very unlikely that you meet Wikipedia levels of notability, so the chances are that nobody else will write about you either. 99.235.223.170 (talk) 14:59, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If you had a registered account, you could write about yourself on your user page, within reasonable limits. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 15:04, 24 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Also, if you wrote at the standard displayed in your question, whatever you wrote would quickly be edited by others, and we would no longer have your words about yourself but others' words about you. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 07:17, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Who says you can't? If you get your own website (which can be free), you can write whatever you like. That's what I do. —Tamfang (talk) 07:25, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No. In her intervieuw she say it that her mother is a kiwi. But the rest was truth!--Maxie1hoi (talk) 11:49, 25 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
