Science fiction tale by Lovecraft[edit]

I remember having read a science fiction tale by H.P. Lovecraft. It was not related to the Cthulhu mythos, it was about an astronaut getting lost in other planet or something like that. It is written in the first person and at the end the protagonist die (that is known for a final note written by someone who find the body, I think)
