Film from 1998 or 1999[edit]

I'm trying to remember the title of a film from around this time. It was on pay-per-view in a hotel sometime in 1999, so I assume it was released in '98 or '99. It was G-rated (I don't know if MPAA ratings are the same outside of the U.S.), and it involved an old man who rode a tractor for a very long distance. It appears to be The Straight Story (1999), starring Richard Farnsworth. Clarityfiend (talk) 04:07, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's the one. Thanks! Joefromrandb (talk) 05:28, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently it was a lawnmower, not a tractor. Joefromrandb (talk) 05:57, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Although once you've removed the cutting blades and start hauling a trailer with it.... Great movie though.--Shantavira|feed me 08:59, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, it was a riding mower, which is commonly called a garden tractor or a lawn tractor... --Jayron32 12:29, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now that I've finally gotten to see it in its entirety, it was indeed a very good film. I am surprised that it was rated G though. I'm not saying it was a dirty movie or anything, but it had mild swearing, smoking, drinking, guns, teenage pregnancy, mental retardation, and a lot of talk about war-related death and violence.
