What's the name of this old action movie?[edit]

I would like to know the name of an old action movie I saw. This is what I remember: The movie is about a group of prisioners in a desert prision that escape trough vehicles, the environment resembles that of Mad Max 2 and 3. Some of the prisioners escaping get killed in the process and trough the movie. One of them gets shot right in the ere while he is driving, he touches his severed eye in pain and the car crashes. I think that at the end only 3 persons survive, two men and one woman but they enter some kind of fight club where one of them battles a guy with a sword, the guy with the sword slashes the other guy in diagonal trough his chest and I think he dies so only two survive at the very end.

That's all I remember, that movie is in a line very similar to mad max, it has violence and a lot of deaths. I remember that there were several movies in that kind of themes back in the 80's, a futuristic deserted earth with wild battles. A "trough" is what you put animal feed in, such as a pig's trough. Therefore, we are left guessing at the meaning of your question. Do you mean that they escape with the use of some vehicles that they find? Do you mean that they climb through some vehicles to find an escape? So I miss an h what's the big deal? I'm human you know and English is not my language so... anyway, I didn't think a little error like that could make the readers so confused, If I confused you I apologize. If someone analyzes the context of the sentence most people would think that I meant "going into the wehicle" not "vehicles of a thing where you put animal feed in". Context is something a good researcher must not forget because context interpretation is in most cases the only path to acquire a correct answer. Well, I don't remember if they find the vehicles or someone goes with the vehicles to the prision to rescue them. Help me find video game to enjoy with my wife[edit]

Resolved

Game must meet following criteria:

Must be able to be played on PS3
Story-driven / "movie" feel
No random combat (a few scripted fights here and there is fine)

Games we have enjoyed in the past include:

I know these games don't meet the first criterion, but I am looking for one that does. Am very much looking forward to Heavy Rain but would like something along those lines to play in the meantime. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike R (talk) 16:59, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have you tried any of the ~~Future~~Final Fantasy series? The most recent one had random creatures moving about, but you could easily walk away from them to avoid random combat. My wife likes X and X-2 the most (X-2 was her favorite). She also likes Little Big Planet, but it gets too hard too quick. -- kainaw ™ 17:13, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean Final Fantasy? 6, 7 and 8 are some of my all-time favorite games, but they have tons of random combat. I haven't played beyond 8. I didn't know combat could be avoided in later games. Is there still leveling up? Mike R (talk) 17:16, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Correct. I was talking to my son and I said "Future" and typed it at the same time. There is still a concept of "levelling". The particulars depend on the game. They got away from strict levelling in X-2. Instead of just going level to level, you spend your experience on new or improved abilities of your choice. My problem with them is that they are still 1-player. Little Big Planet is not only 2-player, but there are puzzles that can only be solved by having two players (or even four players). Right now, her favorite game is Sims 3. That is giving Little Big Planet a break. -- kainaw ™ 17:24, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Little Big Planet doesn't really have a story (well...it's rather incoherent, or so it seemed to me). However, if you still enjoy it, you could always spend a few days creating a level as a surprise present for your wife. Vimescarrot (talk) 19:51, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Potentially for JRPG fans there is Disgaea_3:_Absence_of_Justice and a few other from Nippon Ichi - they definately have levelling in bundles - and come in both random, and tactic based battles - but - the presentation is usually 'silly childish' which some people love and others hate..83.100.250.79 (talk) 20:17, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What about Folklore (video game) - it's more actiony than the adventure games you describe - but I got the feeling it might have the same sort of "good story" (or not I haven't played it)
