December 20[edit]

Paris Combo[edit]

So I'm a huge fan of their distinct style of music---very jazzy and retro, but innovative. Anyone know where I can find some sheet music of their music? If not fully arranged, just some chord progressions would be nice. Aso, lyrics. Their site has lyrics for only some songs and it's rough to navigate. Thanks for the help!Aquaman590 (talk) 04:41, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Jeremiah Johnson" movie[edit]

I need to know all the facts and details of the old movie "Jeremiah Johnson." {It's the movie about the life of a mountain man. It starred Robert Redford and Will Geer.} —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.120.76.169 (talk) 06:18, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

in football whats the diff between a coach and a manager?[edit]

sometimes the newspapers call a manager a coach. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.189.58.206 (talk) 08:34, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In most sports a coach deals directly with training and such, whereas a manager deals with overall strategy and also managment of the team in areas like transfers and the like

EDIT: Actually looking at This it seems the terms are interchangable if you are talking about American Football and not Association Football ("soccer" I guess) TheGreatZorko (talk) 11:43, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In football (soccer), the words manager and coach are sometimes interchangeable and sometimes coach is only used stylistically in journalism. Historically, managers are those that manage and train the team, arrange games, handle new transfers and contract negotiations, and in smaller clubs - control the clubs finances. Some of the larger/older European Clubs created the role of Director of football in the 1990s to take on the business management role which left the manager to focus more on the coaching aspect only. Some see the use of the word Coach in football (soccer) as an Americanism and either hold on to the old Manager or expand it to first team coach. 86.21.74.40 (talk) 14:42, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I can't recall ever hearing the title "Manager" used in isolation as equivalent to "Coach" for American Football. However, there is (at the professional level) a "general manager" or GM (I've linked the baseball version, but it's a close match). Particularly at lower levels, such as high school, there may be a "manager" who would be better described as an equipment manager: typically a student intern who helps the staff make sure that water coolers, game balls, and other equipment are available for use. The role of coach remains distinct from these, though there are examples at the professional level where a single person holds the roles of both coach and GM. — Lomn 16:23, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Any particular influence on costume? Japan? Anime?[edit]

Is this costume of anything in particular? They're amazing chicken arms, so I presume she didn't make this herself. Is this some character from an anime series or manga book? Or is this a corporate mascot she likes? It's so weird and intriguing. -- Zanimum (talk) 19:33, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
